Date

May 2016

Location

Toronto, Ontario

Project Description

Thompson Hotel Lobby was a concept project aimed to reimagine a different design for this famous Toronto spot.

The goal was to provide open space lobby that engages with the city and invites citizens and visitors to participate. Areas of attraction and social interaction, such as the reception and bar, are emphasized by a highlighted path of triangular patterns. Red and white color scheme with drops of blue and yellow, primary colors, creates a powerful contrast that attracts visitors. The shape of furniture facilitiates not only the internal engagement but also the external engagement, engagement with the city. Moreover, the flexibility of lobby enables to have any kind of events from business meetings to parties.

The project was designed for the architecture school.
